After I broke Steve's special drinking mug (again), I decided to make him a replacement. It is a little scary, but functional.
During Christmas, Steve and I went to the beach with my family. Steve picked up beach rocks of every color and made me this lovely picture.
My first bowl on the pottery wheel. It is now my official ice cream bowl!
A good, homey picture. I've made a the vase and the cross-stitch. I didn't water proof or put glaze on the bottom of the vase so it slowly leaks. But if you put some toilet paper underneath, it mostly holds water! (Oh, and the flower is from my garden.)

Because Steve has an internship with Deloitte this summer, they give him (and me) free things. Normally, painting the platter would have cost about $36 and painting the dog dish would have cost $24, a total of $60! No way would we have done this with our own money; we are way too cheap. So it was nice to get a nice thing for free. I hope Deloitte gives Steve a job too!
